  • The Proceedings of Photon09 will be published by DESY.
  • The deadline for the proceedings contributions is July 17, 2009.
Page limits

  • Talks of 25-30 minutes duration: 9 pages
  • Talks of 15-20 minutes duration: 7 pages

The proceedings will be produced using LaTeX. All necessary information and files can be found at a specific web site. In order to prepare your contribution, please go through the following steps:

  • Download the four files smith_joe.tex (the LaTeX source to be modified by you), smith_joe.fig1.eps (an example figure), desyproc.cls (the class file) and smith_joe.pdf (the resulting PDF file) from this web page and save them to a new directory. (Alternatively, download the archive file photon09.proc.tar from the same location and untar it in your chosen working directory using the command "tar -xvf photon09.proc.tar".)
  • Copy the smith_joe_tex source file to a file yourlastname_yourfirstname.tex. This will be the basis of your proceedings.
  • Start editing your file yourlastname_yourfirstname.tex. Please first look for your conference contribution ID from this INDICO web page and insert it into the "contribID" command at the beginning of the LaTeX file.
  • Please stick to the instructions provided in the smith_joe.pdf file. You can produce the PDF from your LaTeX source by running the commands "latex yourlastname_yourfirstname.tex" and "dvipdf yourlastname_yourfirstname.dvi".
  • Please remember the naming conventions: Figures should be numbered according to "yourlastname_yourfirstname.fig1.eps" etc., and the final PDF should be name "yourlastname_yourfirstname.pdf".
Submitting your proceedings contributions

Once you have prepared your contribution and have procuced a valid PDF file, please do the following:

  • Submit the PDF to your slot in the conference INDICO web page. To do so, login to INDICO, go to "Timetable" and click on the "modify this item" symbol attached to your presentation. You can then submit additional material under the tab "Files". Please characterise your contribution as "Proceedings" in the "select a type" pull-down menu.
  • Send your contribution via email to the conference organisers. You can either send all files separately (remember to send the LaTeX source, all figures and the final PDF file), or you can include all these files in an archive file by running the "tar" command: "tar -cvf yourlastname_yourfirstname.tar *tex *eps *pdf" and send the resulting tar file "yourlastname_yourfirstname.tar" via email to the organisers (preferably after zipping it using "gzip yourlastname_yourfirstname.tar").
